The purpose for balanced Biblical study is to encourage practical application of God’s Word in the lives of believers so as to produce a vital, victorious walk with Jesus. Practical application of sound, balanced doctrine will equip and enable you to effectively reach out to those in your sphere of influence. Real and lasting life changes will result.
By being satisfied in a fulfilled and victorious Christian life, you will be able to fruitfully minister into the lives of hungry believers. For this to occur, you must first yourself have that abundant life in Jesus which spiritually breathes life and liberty.
Life in Jesus stems first from true salvation which is anchored in absolute scriptural truth. Everyone who is truly born again, who loves Jesus Christ and His Gospel, desires to be filled with His Spirit. True believers desire to experience His abundant life. True believers desire to live by His power and to see others flourish and live in victory over sin.
Of course, you do not want to build a life on false hope and fakery but on genuine biblically balanced truth. You do not want a life strewn about by imbalances; you want one of doctrinal balance. These biblical balances will only be found if all of God’s Word is carefully and prayerfully considered when establishing essential doctrines.
A healthy and victorious Christian life is not possible without a balanced understanding of God’s Word. A healthy, victorious Christian life is impossible to have if certain Bible verses are considered while others are ignored. We must let Scripture interpret Scripture. God does give a balance if it is sought. Unfortunately, there is a famine today in this area. Sound doctrine is often so distorted that the true
​Gospel is perverted.
In our day, everything imaginable is being preached as the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us it will get worse as the time for Jesus’ return draws nearer. Basic understanding of God’s character and God’s will are increasingly absent in teaching today. Salvation and experiential sanctification are distorted and many doctrinal truths are twisted out of balance. Truth which is out of balance is error. If error is carried far enough, it becomes heresy. Balanced biblical truth is imperative for a safe and sound victorious Christian life.
When your heart hungers for solid truth and genuine holiness, God won’t let you be satisfied until you have it. With all that is passing for the Gospel today, genuine seeking means a real search for truth. Balanced doctrinal understanding and proper, scripturally healthy teaching regarding the Spirit-filled victorious Christian life will enable you to safely navigate the labyrinths of doctrinal confusion brought about by imbalanced doctrinal teaching. This will protect us from heretical false teaching and doctrines from foreign spirits. The life that Jesus gives is not one lived in carnality, nor by feelings and certainly not by impulses from demonic impressions. Jesus’ life in us is filled and directed by the Word of God and His gracious and loving Holy Spirit.
