TRUTH HAS A NAME

ARTICLE

God is not looking for ministers and congregations who are looking to receive accolades, gain notoriety, acquire money or subtly invite homage to themselves. Neither is He looking for those who long for the spotlight, require center stage, substitute drama for anointing or, God forbid, desire to be comics. God seeks those who desire that their life and ministry be hidden in the cross. Anyone who doesn’t recognize these un-Christlike attitudes in church pulpits and on TV may feel comfortable among the vast majority of contemporary “church goers”. But, be warned; it’s a slippery slope and one which definitely warrants examining Scripture—and salvation.

Throughout 40 years since salvation, since experiencing my own salvation, I have observed something very interesting regarding these un-Christlike attitudes displayed in pulpits and pews. The lost can see something is very wrong; newly saved people see it also, yet many who claim they’ve been saved for years do not see it. After much struggle with these observations, I have come to the conclusion that if a babe in Christ can see it, it doesn’t take years of maturing to recognize. All it takes is a genuine rebirth. And, since I’ve known many lost people who can see it, then it doesn’t even require rebirth to see it—it just requires having an honest heart.

A discerning lost person may or may not be searching for truth; they may have no idea what it is, but they sure do know what it isn’t. At least, they are on the right track—one that will take them in the direction of truth. They are not buying a ball of yarn that will take them spinning down a wrong direction. If they continue on this track, they will eventually discover that truth is not a “what” but a “Who.” The Roman potentate, Pontius Pilate, who judged Jesus regarding the crucifixion, asked Jesus this question:  “What is truth?”  How ironic. It was Truth “Who” stood before Him.

The same Truth, the same Savior, the same gospel stands before a lost questioning world today. Truth and your Savior stand before your heart today. The scale of salvation is in His hand; every soul weighs in its balance.  There is only one true gospel, only one true Savior.

A compromised 20th Century modern age church has produced the rapidly apostatizing, 21st Century postmodern church that we see today. Today, both the church and the world live in a realm of relativity, where there are no absolutes. Truth becomes ever more elusive since, to postmodernists, it has no absolute rock bottom. With no true foundation, these 21st Century Post Modernists are left to float aimlessly in a sea of relativity, as any vestige of absolute truth rapidly wanes away. This absolute truth, the absolute reality of God, His Word and Jesus Himself, Who is the Word (Jn. 1:1-2) are all being twisted in our day. Truth is so skewed and distorted that light is called darkness and darkness light; sweet is called bitter and bitter sweet; truth is called a lie and a lie the truth. God’s Word even says this will happen.

Relativity is running at Postmodern break neck speed, straight into the arms of apostasy, atheism and end time catastrophe. The reality of God is breathtakingly sold out by the millennial and Z-generation, whose only reality is relativity and whose only truth is “whatever you make it”. It’s always changing, even within each individual person.

Nevertheless, still towering to the heavens to reign over the entire universe stands Truth’s beam of glory, ablaze with majesty—THE ONE WHO IS TRUTH! Nothing relative about Him! He is the One Who always was and always unchangingly will be—KING ETERNAL—JESUS CHRIST!

He is the omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), infinite (no limit), eternal, almighty, soon to be sovereign Ruler of the universe, the One Who was and is and is to come.

God is my Savior, my Justifier, my Sanctifier, my Sustainer. God is my Creator, my Lord, my Master, my Friend, my Love. Jesus, You are everything to me; You are living inside me; You guide me; You are absolute reality, absolute Truth, the absolute One—You are the ABSOLUTE!!!

As this brief article concludes, it offers to all, everywhere, this One Who is absolutely real, absolutely alive, absolutely able, and absolutely trustworthy! This One is the Son of God, Savior to all who will come, lover of your soul. You can have Christ, if He can have you. Here is how:

A PRAYER FOR SALVATION

“Lord, I believe You are alive and I believe You are the Savior.

I want You to be my Savior. I believe thatYou love me and have a wonderful

plan for my life. Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins and ask You to forgive me of my sins. I receive Your forgiveness. Jesus, I receive You now into my heart by faith. I take You as my Lord and Savior. Take control of my life and make me the kind of person You want me to be. Jesus, I give you my whole heart and life now. It is no longer mine; it is Yours to do with as you please. Wholly, by faith,

I receive salvation and I thank you, Lord Jesus.”
