WHAT REVIVAL IS NOT

ARTICLE

Revival is not an evangelistic spring meeting. Neither is it a once a month Saturday program when the church reaches out to serve the community. Revival is our hearts being cleansed and our minds being renewed. It is our whole self, body, soul and spirit being filled with the Holy Spirit. Then, whoever God fills with His Holy Spirit, will also be led into a holy walk. Our church praise and worship will be a vibrant, reverent, Spirit-led holy worship in the sanctuary (or anywhere), rather than a hollow, flesh-led pandemonium in the auditorium.

When revival is real and its participants genuine, the sound of worship won’t reek of flesh which brings vanity and pride before the

throne of God. (Though ye offer me burnt

offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. Amos 5:22-24)

The praise of genuine revival will come before God’s throne like the glorifying harp of the sweet singer of Israel. The sound of genuine revival will be heard resonating throughout the heavens. It will be the sound coming from God’s Spirit, through contrite and broken vessels desperately dependent upon a holy God and filled by His Spirit crying “Holy, Holy, Holy is our God.

This is real revival! This is real worship!
